Internet Reality Show

"Lonelygirl15" 

These web cam episodes were first thought to be a real webcam video diary of a lonely 15 year-old girl. But then it was revealed to actually be a staged, episodic Internet reality show, which starred an 19 year old actress.  Fans felt deceived and rebelled with critical video responses.  Watch the two video examples below, "Lonelygirl15 in Media" and "Wow."

In the interview, the two creaters of Lonelygirl15 said the episodes are available on YouTube and  Revver.com, which shares advertisng revenue 50/50 with the videomakers (Metacafe also shares ad revenue with videomakers.).  I haven't found any of Lonelygirl15's original webisodes yet.  They may have been pulled in response to the abundance of negative protest videos about the deception.
